How to Improve Your AC Unit

How to Improve Your AC Unit

Minimize Costly Water Damage

One of our most common service calls is the water leaks caused by clogged condensate lines. The condensate line, which is a small PVC pipe, is an essential part of your AC system, responsible for carrying away the moisture that collects during the cooling process.

However, this pipe can easily become clogged with algae, slime and other debris. A clogged drain line leads to water leaking into the home, often causing extensive and costly damage.

Check out this video below on what a “water call” and what we do to treat and prevent it.

THE SOLUTION: SLIME-BE-GONE AND CLEAR DRAIN SOLUTION

CLEAR DRAIN SOLUTION (CDS) and SLIME-BE-GONE (SBG) working in combination offer a simple, effective way to keep your condensate lines clean and clear, preventing blockages before they cause trouble. CDS cleans and SBG helps maintain a debris-free condensate line year around in combination with the Tiger Maintenance Program.

CLEAR DRAIN SOLUTION is designed to clear and create free-flowing condensate lines. It helps to prevent the buildup of debris and slime, keeping your lines functioning properly and preventing water damage to your home.

SLIME-BE-GONE is a powerful preventative accessory that when installed by Tiger Services, breaks down and eliminates the buildup of slime, algae, and other organic material in your condensate lines. Regular use of SLIME-BE-GONE after a CDS treatment ensures that your system runs smoothly, reducing the risk of water leaks and extending the life of your HVAC system.

How Tiger Works

  • Step 1: Identify the Issue – If you've noticed water pooling around your AC unit, or if your AC system has stopped cooling efficiently, a clogged condensate line could be the culprit. Time to call the Tiger Team! Additionally to avoid these issues before they happen, talk to a Tiger representative about Advanced Maintenance Plan options.
  • Step 2: Use CLEAR DRAIN SOLUTION for Clearing the Condensate Line – CDS treatment will be used to remove all of the debris in your condensate line. After the line is cleared, Tiger pushes all of the buildup out of your lines using hot water. That way, the lines will stay as clean as possible and prevent future issues before adding the SBG.
  • Step 3: Install SLIME-BE-GONE – After CDS, your technician will install the SLIME-BE-GONE to combat future line blockage. Each tablet provides six months of maintaining clear lines after the CDS treatment. The Tiger team will change out tablets at a maintenance check!
